Shoalhaven City Council's first ever Local Strategic Planning Statement: Shoalhaven 2040 is now on public exhibition as a draft until the end of July.

Councils in NSW are now required to produce these new statements related to land use planning. Thus, Shoalhaven 2040 outlines the land-use planning and related work Council needs to do to identify and meet our communities’ needs over the next 20-years. The statement will also be updated at regular points in the future.

The draft document is available on Council’s Get Involved page, which also has fact sheets with information about the document, selected land-use planning matters, and the ways you can provide feedback.

Several recorded presentations will also be available during the exhibition period. These will provide an outline of Shoalhaven 2040, how it will work, and a summary of the document’s main themes which are: Managing growth, Great places, Growing the economy, Protecting and adapting to the environment and Celebrating culture and heritage.
