Plan of Management Review
- Project StatusIn progress
In 2018, new legislation came into effect on the management of Crown Lands. One of the most significant changes of the new Act, the Crown Land Management Act 2016, is that it all Crown Reserves, where Council is the Crown Land Manager, must be managed as if it were public land under the Local Government Act 1993.
This means, when Crown Land receives a “Community” classification under the Local Government Act, it must be categorised in line with its Reserve Purpose, and a Plan of Management must prepared.
