Busking

The Shoalhaven welcomes buskers across our public places and the positive contribution they make to our region.

Shoalhaven City Council does not issue busking permits, however, rules apply as follows:

  • do not block the footpath
  • be considerate to the shopkeepers as to where you position yourself
  • talk to shop owners and discuss your intention to busk in front of their premises and ask if they have any concerns
  • respect the wishes of shop owners should they ask you to move on
  • do not display, demonstrate or advertise other goods or services for sale or associate yourself with advertising in conjunction with your performance

Busking at local markets

Markets are organised by a variety of community members/organisations. You will need to contact the market organiser for permission to busk at markets
