Collingwood Beach Dune Vegetation Reference Group

Appointments to the Collingwood Beach dune vegetation reference group have been finalised, community members are:

Mark Corrigan, Debra Evelyn, Barbara Liddle, Bruce McKenzie, Melissa McManus, Johanna Pullinger and Noel Rosskelly. 

The reference group is Chaired by Councillor Allan Baptist.

Community members are welcome to approach the reference group to share their opinions on future dune vegetation management at Collingwood Beach.  In order to do so, you can send an email to Isabelle Ghetti at and Isabelle will pass on your comment to the group for their consideration.  Information will be posted on this page on a regular basis to provide updates to the community on the work of the reference group.

At its last two meetings (9 October 2014 and 23 October 2014) the Reference Group has focused on developing a set of recommendations.

The recommendations developed by the Reference Group can be accessed here.

The Reference Group has also agreed on a process that can be accessed here.

The reference group's recommendations were adopted by Council on 9 December 2014.  A consultant's brief has been prepared to develop a Dune Vegetation Managment Plan that meets these objectives. Further Community consulation will be undertaken as part of this process.  More informaiton will be provided on this page once the consultant is appointed. (end of May 2015)
