08/08/2023 - Pavement repair works approved under the Natural Disaster Recovery program have been completed. Ongoing monitoring will continue and further repairs undertaken where required.

About the works

2023 Works

  • 27/07/23 - Remaining pavement repairs near the Princes Highway will be completed at night. Dates are yet to be confirmed however are anticipated to be completed in August.

  • 12/07/2023 - Minor asphalt repairs are planned along Jervis Bay Road over the next two weeks. The works will be under traffic control and drivers are urged to drive carefully.

  • 08/06/2023 - Princes Highway to Woollamia Road: Council has received funding approval from Transport for NSW and is currently requesting quotations. Works are anticipated to be completed in July 2023, subject to weather and contractor availability.

    Woollamia Road to Vallon Road: Council is continuing to seek funding approval to undertake geotechnical investigations.

  • 26/05/2023 - Council will be going out to quotation this financial year for pavement repairs between Princes Highway and Woollamia Road. Council is continuing to seek funding approval to undertake geotechnical investigations from Woollamia Road to Vallon Road.

  • 19/04/2023 - Council will be going out to quotation in April 2023 for pavement repairs between Princes Highway and Woollamia Road. Council is seeking funding approval to undertake geotechnical investigations from Woollamia Road to Vallon Road.

  • 11/04/2023 - Council will be going out to quotation in April 2023 for pavement repairs.

    Advanced warning signs have been placed along Jervis Bay Road, east of McArthur Drive through to Princes Highway, advising motorists of damages in the west bound lane. Temporary patching has begun to mitigate risk to the public, works are ongoing.

  • 7/02/2023 - Council are seeking funding approval for pavement repairs between Princes Highway and Woollamia Road. Additional damages have been identified for geotechnical investigation in February to guide the repair methodology.         

 

2022 Works

  • 18/11/2022 - Severe weather in 2022 means we will continue to assess this road as part of our maintenance program. Further damage will be scheduled into our 2023 works packages.

  • 06/11/2022 - First round of road repair works has been completed. Further road repairs will be undertaken in early 2023.

  • 01/11/2022 - Line marking works are scheduled to commence Wednesday 2 November. Night works are planned to avoid disruption to motorists and reduce the risk of vehicles driving over the new lines.

  • 10/10/2022 - A contractor has been engaged to reinstate the line marking removed during pavement repairs. Works are scheduled for the first week in November, weather permitting.

  • 05/09/2022 - The high priority locations as part of tender package 1 for Jervis Bay Road have been completed. Locations are being finalised for the next package of works. Line marking remains outstanding.

  • 31/08/2022 - Asphalt repair work scheduled to commence on Monday 29/08/2022 for 2 days has now been completed.
  • 29/8/2022 - Asphalt repair work is scheduled to commence Monday 29/08/2022 for approximately 2 days, weather permitting. A single lane will operate under traffic control during this time. Council advises that residents should allow for extra travel time.
  • 22/08/2022 - Pavement repair design is complete with works due to commence within a couple of weeks.
