Clearing, widening, pavement strengthening, bituminous sealing, stormwater drainage, safety barriers and water and Sewer relocation

The last leg of the road is yet to be designed. Awaiting geotechnical results. Impacted by wet coastal land and Plutus Creek.

Currarong Road Update: July 2021

Council has been given approval for an Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit for the project. 

Work to relocate sewerage and water mains along Currarong Road will be undertaken at the same time as works on the upgrade to the Road to minimise inconvenience to the community.

Council is working closely with NSW National Parks and Wildlife, Crown Lands and Ministry of Defence to undertake the works.

Clearing to relocate the waterline will involve some minimal vegetation removal. Council will revegetate the affected area as much as possible.

Design from 400 metres along Plutus Creek is being finalised.
