Shoalhaven Wellbeing Project
The development of the Shoalhaven Community Wellbeing Plan will guide Shoalhaven City Council in the pursuit of community wellbeing, as well as providing a framework to evaluate the effectiveness of our investments, programs and assets.
Wellbeing is not just the absence of disease or illness. It is a complex combination of a person's physical, mental, emotional and social health factors. Wellbeing is the experience of health, happiness, and prosperity. It includes having good mental health, high life satisfaction, and a sense of meaning or purpose.
Wellbeing is important to Local Government and the community as it enables residents to fully participate in education, employment, and within their community. The Shoalhaven Community Wellbeing Plan will be developed after conducting extensive consultation with internal Council staff, relevant stakeholders/organisations, and the boarded community.
This document will be incorporated into Council's Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework.
