About the project

This review follows community concerns about disturbances in rural settings, including noise distress to animals. Fireworks can frighten horses, livestock, and dogs, which may injure themselves, others or property, or run away.

The guidance contained in the draft policy is designed to reduce the impact of private fireworks displays in our communities and takes into consideration the impact of fireworks on the environment, animals and local amenities.
