Shoalhaven City Council is asking the community for suggestions on how to assist Farmers in our region who may be affected by the onset of drought.
With Federal, State and private businesses lending a helping hand, there's been plenty of discussions.
On Tuesday, 28th August at Council's next Ordinary Meeting the Council will consider how it can help drought-affected farmers in the Shoalhaven through some form of ‘rates relief’. This will be a discussion for Councillors and can be viewed in the Nowra Administration building or live streamed on Council's website.
We would also love to hear from farmers specifically on what would help them in this time of need

Please note: Currently, Council has a hardship policy in place where an application is made and Council has the option of writing off full or partial interest on rates. This applies to everyone and not just farmers. We encourage anyone who is experiencing extreme hardship to contact Council on 4429 3111.
