Shoalhaven City Council will be hosting several free events as part of the upcoming National Recycling Week celebrations to be held from Monday 13 November to Sunday 19 November.
National Recycling Week provides an opportunity for the entire family to discover the joys of learning something new and reducing the amount of unrecyclable materials we use to sustain our lifestyle.
Mayor, Amanda Findley is encouraging residents to try something new during the upcoming Recycling Week.
“National Recycling week is an opportunity to remind residents and ratepayers that there are so many ways to reduce, reuse, recycle and refuse materials we use in our everyday lives,” Clr Findley said.
“From developing the skills to manage your own worm farm or backyard chickens to learning how to hand weave recycled materials or create your own beeswax wraps, there is something for everyone this Recycling Week in the Shoalhaven.”
“The Shoalhaven is home to some extremely creative and forwarding thinking individuals who have come together to share their skills with the local community, so take the time to come along participate in these inspirational and informative free events.”
