In order to prioritise the health and wellbeing of residents and help slow the spread of COVID-19, Shoalhaven City Council have undertaken a number of measures to lessen the impact of COVID-19 on the Shoalhaven community.
Following Commonwealth and State Government advice, many Shoalhaven facilities and services have been temporarily ceased or restricted to help protect the community and staff. Find the latest information on Council service limitations here.
Council would like to remind residents to observe NSW health guidelines on handwashing and personal hygiene practices. Find further instructions here.
Stage One Restrictions Ease
Shoalhaven City Council is currently reviewing plans of how and when Council will roll out changes to services and facilities, following the Premier’s announcement to ease some of the current COVID-19 restrictions.
Our considerations include the practical application of any updated NSW Public Health Orders, and focus on ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and community.
Council is currently waiting to receive formal notification from the Office of Local Government that the Public Health Order to close playgrounds pools and other facilities has been lifted, until this time Shoalhaven City Council will not be re-opening any facilities. We will share details of any changes when they occur on our website and through social media. Council does have plans in place for the staged reopening of certain facilities once that Public Health Order has been lifted.
We thank everyone for continuing to work together to protect the vulnerable in our community at this challenging time, and for the communities understanding that the easing of restrictions will take some time.
