Shoalhaven River Levee Flood Damage Restoration Project to Commence
Shoalhaven City Council has commenced the Shoalhaven River Levee Flood Damage Restoration 2017 Project at Terara and Comerong Island adjacent to the Shoalhaven River this month. This is a staged project and the remaining levees at Numbaa and Terara would be repaired at second stage. The levee re-construction work is expected to commence on 16 April 2018 and will affect Terara and Comerong Island residents due to truckloads of rock and soil being transported to the area. Raised Pedestrian Crossing – Various Sites
Shoalhaven City Council will be constructing six Raised Pedestrian Crossings throughout the Shoalhaven during April 2018. The works have been identified as part of the NSW Pedestrian Around Schools Program with funding provided by the NSW Government. Affordable Housing Strategy Launched
To meet the future need of planning for affordable housing in the Shoalhaven, Shoalhaven City Council today launched its Affordable Housing Strategy. Droning in on Rubbish
Shoalhaven City Council is taking the drastic step of adopting the use of drones to find illegal rubbish dumping sites. The innovative new program will see a drone being used to assist in finding dumped rubbish in hard to get to areas of the bush and to assist in finding access points to clean up the rubbish.
