‘Mr Movies’, Bill Collins will launch the Maps-You are here exhibition at the Shoalhaven City Arts Gallery from 12noon this Saturday 2 June.The exhibition will feature the works of 11 textile artists as they take the audience on an imaginative voyage through history.Starting from the base point of Cook's early mapping of the Australian coastline through to the the embroidered maps of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, each artist has developed her own response to the idea of maps.Using tech...
