Shoalhaven Summer Beach Season

Ulladulla Harbour Coastal Erosion Remediation Progress
Shoalhaven City Council will start work on the Ulladulla Harbour Coastal Erosion remediation work. Council has engaged Jirgens Civil to repair the rock protection at the rear Ulladulla harbour wall which was damaged by the storm that occurred on the 5 June 2016.   Sand will be relocated from the beach fronting the boat ramp car park to nourish the recreational beach fronting the harbour grassed reserve, where picnic tables were undermined and removed due to public risk.   ...

Understanding Energy Usage at Home Study
Shoalhaven City Council is teaming up with the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage and the University of NSW to assist them to improve the NSW BASIX Energy Assessment Tool for Low Carbon Dwellings.   Shoalhaven homeowners are being recruited to assist in the investigation of actual energy performance of dwellings by monitoring and understanding energy usage over a year. Nowra CBD Facade Assistance Funding Now Available
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Amanda Findley is encouraging Nowra CBD businesses to apply for the Nowra CBD Façade Improvement Financial Assistance Program. Applications are open year round. Help Get Our New Bridge and Highway Upgrade
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Amanda Findley is urging residents and visitors to get involved in signing a petition to the government for a speedy resolution to fund the Nowra Bridge and Berry to Bomaderry Highway upgrade. Raw and risky foods - tips on how to avoid food poisoning Australian Food Safety Week
Recent years have seen major food poisoning outbreaks linked to risky raw foods such as unpasteurized milk, raw eggs, bean/seed sprouts, frozen berries and lettuce. Shoalhaven City Council’s Environmental Health Officer for Food Safety said each year an estimated 1 million Australians have to visit a doctor with food poisoning, 32,000 people end up in hospital and 86 people die.
