Congratulations Shoalhaven Citizens of the Year
Shoalhaven City Council held their annual Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony on Wednesday, 25 January in the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre.  The event which welcomed 34 new citizens and honoured community and sports people in the Shoalhaven, attracted over 330 guests. The 2017 Shoalhaven Australia Day Awards saw 34 people be nominated for their outstanding achievements in the Categories of Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Sportsperson of the Year. Beach Wheelchairs Now Available in the Shoalhaven
Following feedback from the people living with disability, Shoalhaven City Council has purchased 10 new beach wheelchairs for beaches across the City. The beach wheelchairs where discussed during consultations for the Shoalhaven Disability Inclusion Action Plan. Council issuing pet registration notices
Shoalhaven City Council will soon be issuing notices to local pet owners who have a dog or cat that is older than six months of age and not lifetime registered. As a requirement of the NSW Companion Animals Act all dogs and cats over six months in age must be registered. New roundabout at Ulladulla
Shoalhaven City Council will be constructing a new roundabout at the intersection of South Street and Jubilee Avenue Ulladulla, incorporating a new entrance to the adjoining carpark.   The roadworks are expected to commence early February and be completed late April, during which time South Street, Jubilee Avenue and the adjoining carpark access will be closed at the work site. Community volunteers support busy hot spots
Shoalhaven City Council Rangers have teamed up with Shoalhaven Tourism and Huskisson Community Consultative Body (CCB) volunteers to help support the influx of tourists over the Christmas period at two of the busiest beach tourist destinations in the Shoalhaven, Hyams Beach and Huskisson.
