Further community engagement - Recycling & Waste Transfer Facilities
At the Shoalhaven City Council Ordinary Meeting held on 10 October 2016, it was decided that Council will undertake further community engagement on a proposal to potentially change the operating hours of some of Council’s smaller waste and recycling facilities. It has not been proposed that any recycling and waste transfer stations be closed. At Council’s Ordinary meeting, Clr Watson has been successful in his proposal to exclude from any possible sale of the old tourist information centre site the land on which the Navy helicopter is located plus a reasonable curtilage.  This will ensure that the Navy helicopter will be maintained in its current location regardless of what happens with the remainder of the site. Motorcycle Awareness Month
Shoalhaven City Council’s Road Safety Officer, Kathy Wiseham is urging motorists to watch out for motorcycles on the City’s roads. “Unfortunately many motorists forget to look out for motorcycles on the roads, and as a tourist destination we do attract a lot of motorcycles on our roads,” she said. Largest Shoalhaven Water Project Turns the First Sod
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Amanda Findley, has turned the first sod for Shoalhaven Water’s construction of the next stage of the Shoalhaven Reclaimed Water Management Scheme (Stage 1B).  The project is the single biggest public works project to be undertaken by Shoalhaven City Council. Shoalhaven City Arts Centre to be renamed
