Shoalhaven City Council is continuing the organisation’s blitz on abandoned trolleys left within the City as Council Rangers undertake random patrols throughout the area. A patrol earlier this week saw Council’s Rangers locate and impound 35 abandoned trolleys adding to the nearly 60 trolleys impounded during a two day operation in March. Shoalhaven City Council has made the BMX facility at Curleys Bay Reserve, Culburra permanent following the completion of a 12 month trial period. The track, which has proven extremely popular with local residents, consists of a dirt circuit inclusive of a series of jumps, berms and raised corners suitable for BMX riding. Shoalhaven City Council is calling for community input into the design of an all-inclusive playspace (playground) proposed for Mollymook Beach Reserve. The proposed playground is to be designed to ensure that all children, despite any disabilities, are able to play independently and enjoy being active outdoors. Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Joanna Gash has received a 900 signature petition from Vincentia residents expressing full support for the Orion Beach Shared User Path project. Shoalhaven City Council Rangers have handed out another $4,000 fine following the discovery of approximately four cubic metres of mixed household rubbish illegally dumped on the Beecroft Peninsula in the Jervis Bay State Forest.
