Council staff join St Georges Basin students in tree planting event
Shoalhaven City Council staff have joined St Georges Basin Public School students in rehabilitating a Sanctuary Point Reserve as part of a recent National Tree Day planting event.The students joined with local community volunteers and Council staff in planting over 200 trees in Yellow Bellied Glider Reserve.As part of the event, staff also assisted the students in remediating a large eroded area of the Reserve, removing 12 bags of fire weed and installing tree guards to protect against rabbits.M...

Mayor officially opens Shoalhaven Heads shared use pathway
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Joanna Gash has joined Member for Kiama, Gareth Ward in opening a new shared use pathway along the River Road Reserve, Shoalhaven Heads.The pathway will provide further access to local residents and tourists utilising the adjoining fitness equipment and playground or those walking along the Shoalhaven River and will improve road safety by providing local pedestrians and cyclists with a safe off road alternative along the narrow River Road.Shoalhaven Mayor, Joanna G...

Shoalhaven City Council is advising the community of an overflow of sewage into the stormwater detention pond at Marriott Park, Nowra. The overflow is a result of a blockage in the local sewerage system which has overflowed into the stormwater system leading to the stormwater detention pond at Marriott Park.
