Shoalhaven City Council is continuing the construction of three roundabouts within Nowra over the coming weeks.Road works will be taking place on the corner of Berry and Douglas Streets, Berry and Jervis Streets, and Osborne and Jervis Streets, Nowra. Preparations for a Fitness Station in Sanctuary Point have begun following a $22,000 donation towards the project from the Sanctuary Point Bendigo Bank.Located on the Paradise Beach Reserve, Sanctuary Point the Fitness Station will provide local residents with a range of static exercise equipment including elliptical running machines and pull up bars.The donation follows a previous grant of $25,000 from the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation and an additional $20,000 from Council, allowing t...

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) have today approved Shoalhaven City Council’s application for a special variation rate rise to help fund infrastructure renewal.Council had previously made an application to IPART for permission to increase general rates by 4.6 percent above the rate pegging limit (3.4 percent) in the 2013/14 financial year.The increase is estimated to provide Council with an additional $2.3 million, all of which would be exclusively allocated towards road ...
