Council reminds residents to remain flood safe

Shoalhaven City Council is reminding residents to remain flood safe over the next 24 hours as the heavy rains continue.

The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast a 3.4m AHD peak of the Shoalhaven River at 10pm tonight.

The peak is expected to impact on parts of Bolong Road, Coolangatta and Greenwell Point Road, Greenwell Point.

Localised flooding is also predicted in low lying areas of Shoalhaven Heads and Greenwell Point.

Council is reminding residents that anyone needing assistance should contact the SES on 132 500.

Council successfully opened the Shoalhaven Heads to the ocean at approximately 4.30pm this afternoon.
