Milton Library to host Seniors Week morning tea
March 19, 2013
The Milton Library will be hosting a morning tea from 11am Friday 22 March in celebration of Seniors Week.
This special event will provide local residents with the opportunity to relax with friends over a cup of tea and snack while enjoying the many free resources on offer at Milton Library.
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Joanna Gash said she was encouraging local residents to take advantage of the upcoming morning tea.
“Seniors Week provides an ideal opportunity for the area’s senior residents to discover a fresh interest while also meeting a range of new people,” said Clr Gash.
“Many residents may not be aware of the amazing range of free and exciting resources on offer at the Milton Library.
“Since the temporary closure of Ulladulla Library, Milton Library has doubled its resource holding, with new items arriving regularly. There is also a good selection of DVDs, CDs and audio books in stock.”
“With a good crowd expected to participate in the Seniors Week Morning Tea, the morning will also represent a great opportunity to meet up with friends and perhaps even meet a few like minded local residents.”
Mayor Gash said that staff will also be on hand to help with questions about the free E-books available at Milton Library.
