July 25, 2011
Shoalhaven Bereavement Services will be hosting an open day at the Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens and Lawn Cemetery, Worrigee on Wednesday 3 August as part of the upcoming Local Government Week.
The open day will allow residents the opportunity to take a guided tour of the Crematorium and inspect the Chapel and surrounding grounds.
Bereavement staff will also be on hand to answer questions on cremation and burial options, heritage and genealogy resources as well as commemoration options in the Memorial Garden.
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Paul Green said the open day would allow residents the opportunity to take a rare tour of the facilities on offer at the Memorial Gardens and Lawn Cemetery.
“The Shoalhaven Bereavement Services operate an extremely caring and thoughtful Memorial Gardens and Cemetery,” said Clr Green.
“The upcoming open day will provide the community with a chance to take a guided tour of the facilities, ask questions of the staff and learn more about the different options available to residents who are interested in organising their future needs.
“I would strongly encourage all interested residents to take advantage of this opportunity and register for a tour of the Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens and Lawn Cemetery.”
Please note that children must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian during the tours.
Prior registration is required for the tour and can be done by phoning the Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens and Lawn Cemetery on 44295 788.
