Council to conduct Citizenship Ceremony

Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Paul Green will be conducting a Citizenship Ceremony at Council’s Administration Building this Tuesday 26 July as he welcomes 16 new Australian residents to the Country.
Residents from six different countries, including Myanmar, India, the Russian Federation, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, will make the make the pledge of Australian Citizenship in front of friends and family.
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Paul Green said he was looking forward to congratulating Australia’s newest citizens on their new commitment.
“Becoming an Australian Citizen is a huge honour and I would like to congratulate each of the participants on making this life altering decision,” said Clr Green.
“Australia has been enriched by the diverse cultures of people who have come here from over 200 countries.
“Multiculturalism is one of the many exciting features of our Country and I would like to be the first to welcome our newest citizens to Australia and in particular the Shoalhaven area.”
“A Citizenship Ceremony presents a very special occasion and I’m extremely proud and humble to part of this very memorable experience.”
The Citizenship Ceremony will take place at Council’s Administration Building this Tuesday 26 July from 10am.
