Shoalhaven Water employee named NSW Trainee of the Year

Shoalhaven Water employee, Brooke Eveleigh has received the Trainee of the Year Award at the NSW Group Training Association Awards held in Sydney on Friday evening.
Ms Eveleigh was recognised for her commitment to training, which saw her complete the Theory section of the Certificate IV Business Administration six months early in order to undertake additional study.
Having previously received the Illawarra Business Administration Trainee of the Year, Ms Eveleigh will now go on to compete in the National Group Training Awards to be held next April in Brisbane.
Director of Shoalhaven Water, Carmel Krogh said Ms Eveleigh was an extremely deserving recipient of the Trainee of the Year Award citing her commitment to workplace training as one of her obvious strengths.
“Brooke has quickly become an integral staff member and high level trainee since beginning with Shoalhaven Water in February 2010,” said Ms Krogh.
“During this time Brooke has been recognised for her ongoing commitment to learning and becoming a better employee through being named as the recipient of a number of prestigious awards.
“I would certainly like to congratulate Brooke on this tremendous honour and wish her all the best at the National Group Training Awards in April.”
Ms Krogh said Shoalhaven Water has a commitment to employing local trainees with nearly eight percent of its current workforce currently undertaking a traineeship.
