Ulladulla Civic Centre to host March Ordinary meeting
March 06, 2012
Shoalhaven City Council has relocated the March Ordinary meeting to the Ulladulla Civic Centre as Council meets to consider a report on the future redevelopment of the building.
Results of the recent redevelopment community consultation process were presented back to the project steering panel on Friday 2 March to prioritise any change to the advertised concept plans prior to the upcoming Ordinary meeting.
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Paul Green said that by taking the March Ordinary meeting to Ulladulla, local residents would have the opportunity to witness any further debate and Council decisions regarding the proposed redevelopment.
“The Ulladulla Civic Centre and Library redevelopment will provide long term benefit for the residents in the south of the City,” said Clr Green.
“Given the importance of the project it is vital that the local community is as involved in the decision making process as possible.
“Council has consulted with the public throughout the exhibition period and is continuing to work closely with members of the Project Steering Panel to ensure the end result is a top class local facility.”
“I would encourage any residents with an interest in the future of the Ulladulla Civic Centre and Library to attend the upcoming Ordinary Meeting.”
The Ordinary Meeting will take place at the Ulladulla Civic Centre on Tuesday 20 March from 4pm.
