Shoalhaven City Council is reminding residents of the Huskisson Carnival is a family-friendly event with the establishment of an Alcohol Prohibited Area established over the entire Huskisson Sports Field area for the duration of the event.
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor is asking visitors and residents of the “don’t be a clown” at this year's carnival.
“We are asking residents and visitors of all ages to bring their friends to the carnival and leave the booze behind,” Clr Findley said.
“Let’s make sure the Huskisson Carnival is a fun and safe place for everyone this summer. Shoalhaven City Council in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act has established an Alcohol Prohibited Area around the whole of the Huskisson Carnival this year,” Clr Findley said.
“Council has collaborated with NSW Police, who will be enforcing these locations and we are hopeful that these measures will reduce the effects on the community of alcohol-related issues.”
An Alcohol Prohibited Area has been established effective from 26 December 2018 to the 27 January 2019 over the whole of the Huskisson Oval site, including the Carnival area.
