Shoalhaven City Council is currently seeking feedback from the community on the short-term and long-term solutions for Hyams Beach with a community survey now available on Council’s website.
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley is encouraging residents and visitors to the region to have their say on the popular beach village.
“Council has been working with the Hyams Beach Village Association Community Consultative Body (HBVA CCB) and other community groups and business representatives on options to improve the access for both vehicles and pedestrians in the community,” Clr Findley said.
“As Hyams Beach was never designed to be a high traffic area, there are a number of upgrades to parking and footpaths under consideration that are critical to keeping residents and visitors safe now and into the future."
“This survey is the next important milestone to ensure that all community members are safe, and visitors have a great experience in the Shoalhaven region.
You can access the range of options and provide comments through the Get Involved section on the Shoalhaven Council Website at the following link: https://getinvolved.shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au/. Alternatively, a hard copy can be provided by post by calling (02) 4429 3248 if you do not have access to the internet. The survey will close at 5.00pm Friday, 9 November 2018.
