New Learn to Ride Bike Path in East Nowra.

Shoalhaven City Council is celebrating the official opening of a new Learn to Ride bike path for Parramatta Park, East Nowra today.

Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley was delighted with the new facility and encourages the youngest residents of the Shoalhaven to come out and enjoy the new bike path enhancement

“This new Learn to Ride bike path will help toddlers, preschoolers and primary school aged children improve their early bicycle riding skills,” Clr Findley said.

“The new park will complement the existing playground, basketball court, story poles that are currently in Parramatta Park and the newly planted trees.

“Council committed $25,000 towards the construction of the park and successfully secured $50,000 grant from Social Housing Community Improvement Fund grant from the NSW Department of Family and Community Services for the project.

‘Parramatta Park is a true collaboration project with Council staff have been working collaboratively with Illawarra Shoalhaven Social Investments, (ISSIT) to make Parramatta a centrepiece for the “Our Place” initiative.”
