Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Amanda Findley, has opened the Mayoral Appeal for the family of the bushfire helicopter pilot, Allan “Tully” Tull.
The experienced helicopter contractor died a hero as he was helping fight the Kingiman Road Woodstock fires last week when his helicopter crashed near Woodstock while waterbombing.
At the suggestion of Jill Blackler and other members of the local community who wish to support his family, the Mayor is rallying the community to donate to the Tull family to ease the future burden and to assist with funeral costs.

His dedication to his job which was not only dangerous but unpredictable made him an unsung hero and one our community is indebted to. So many people feel connected to Tully through his deeds and wish to express their thanks and sympathy in this way.”
