The Shoalhaven Arts Board has launched the Shoalhaven Arts Grants for 2017 – 2018 and is encouraging local artists to apply for funding under the annual grant funding program.
Last year’s grant recipient Elyssa Skyes-Smith created a magnificent site specific installation sculpture that is now been housed in the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre.
Shoalhaven Arts Board Grants are available to Shoalhaven not for profit cultural or arts organisations as well as individuals who wish to submit applications requesting funding support for their arts projects. Projects will be considered that can demonstrate their capacity to contribute to the City’s creative vision.

Three grants are available that aim to build a sense of place for the Shoalhaven. The first category “New Collaborations for a Sense of Place” offers two (2) grants of up to $5000 each available for the grant recipients selected by the Board. The Board envisages projects that will be considered for this category will build a sense of place for the Shoalhaven through artistic and creative collaborations.
The second category for funding is for projects that aim to create and install public art throughout the City with a grant available of up to $10,000.
