There is only one week left for residents to provide feedback to Shoalhaven City Council on the draft Huskisson Foreshore Masterplan and associated Development Options.
Council has prepared the Masterplan with a view to further enhancing the area’s standing as an iconic tourism site and gateway to Jervis Bay and is seeking the communities input into their preferred option.
The Masterplan presents a vision and principles for the Huskisson Foreshore precinct, a wider town centre concept plan and four development concepts for 59 Owen Street, the adjoining road reserve and the Club Jervis Bay site at 2 Currambene Street.
The draft Masterplan is currently on public exhibition until 10 August 2016 at Council’s Administrative Centre, Bridge Road, Nowra and can be viewed at the project page on Council’s website at www.shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au/My-Council/Current-Projects/Huskisson-Foreshore-Masterplan.
The four options can also be viewed through an interactive Masterplan website and 3D model which are all available through the project page on Council’s website.
The four potential development concepts have incorporated the key design principles developed by a Community Reference Group and each have different outcomes in terms of impacting on the view, activating the foreshore and the cost to Council and the community.
Residents will have the opportunity to view the different development and let council know what option is preferred or whether you have any other ideas for 59 Owen Street and the precinct.
Submissions can be submitted online using the submission tool, in writing to the General Manager, PO Box 42, Nowra NSW 2541 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by the close of business by 5pm on 10 August 2016.
