Shoalhaven City Council has today launched a new online recruitment system that will more efficiently process applications for Council jobs.
From Monday 1 August 2016, Council will only accept applications through the online recruitment system.
Council’s Human Resources, Governance & Customer Service Manager, Melissa McCoy said the new online recruitment system will significantly improve the efficiency of Council’s recruitment process and candidates will see reduced response times.
“Council has been working on getting an online recruitment system in place for some time and we are really excited to now be at the stage of launching this system,” said Mrs McCoy.
“The new system provides job applicants with a more streamlined and easier application process, where applicants can set up a career profile, job alerts and arrange interviews online.”
“By setting up a career profile with Council, applicants only have to register their details once and then update their profile when submitting applications for different jobs.”
“The new system also allows people to sign up for job alerts based on the department of Council they are interested in, the location of the position and the type of work they are seeking, for example full time, casual, part time.”
“The new system enables an easier process for shortlisted candidates to arrange their interview, with candidates able to log into the system, and book in to the interview time and date that best suits their schedule.”
“The new system also provides better integration with SEEK, eliminating the double entry of details and making applying for a Council job faster and easier than ever before.”
Mrs McCoy said she encourages anyone interested in working for Council to head to the Careers at Council page and set up their profile.
