Shoalhaven City Council will be continuing the upgrade to the Browns Creek crossing on Quinns Lane, South Nowra over the Christmas holiday period.
The project includes installation of a larger capacity drainage culvert crossing under Quinns Lane, vegetation clearing and improvements to the creek cross-section.
On completion the works will reduce the frequency that Quinns Lane is inundated with stormwater during rain.
The road will be closed to through traffic between 4 January and 1 February 2016.
During this time a detour will be in place via Old Southern Road and Hillcrest Avenue.
Access to businesses on Quinns Lane from the Princes Highway will be unaffected.
Work is scheduled for completion in February 2016 weather permitting.
Council will be undertaking a major road rehabilitation in Wallace Street, between Kalandar Street and St Anne Street, Nowra.
The works involve the removal of the existing pavement and construction of a new bound pavement with an asphalt surface.
The works are scheduled to be undertaken between 4 January - 18 February 2016.
The road will be closed at times between 11 – 30 January.
Detours and signage will be in place during this time.
