Shoalhaven Libraries offering a host of activities throughout May

Shoalhaven City Libraries are gearing up for a massive May with a host of exciting activities and events planned across the month.

As part of the celebrations, Shoalhaven Libraries will be providing local residents with a month long amnesty in which they are able to return books free of charge.

Library Manager, Sarah Taylor said the amnesty had been designed to allow those with overdue items a chance to return them, guilt free.

“May is a huge month for Shoalhaven Libraries as we build towards Library and Information Week commencing from Monday 25 May,” said Ms Taylor.

“As part of our Massive May we are offering local residents with the opportunity to return overdue items free of charge.

“We need our residents to search all over the house, under beds, the back of cupboards and behind the lounge and bring back any overdue books so others can enjoy them.”

“May will also see the return of the Massive Book Sale where ex-library items will be on sale at very reasonable prices.”

“Always popular, this month-long sale will have a wide range of stock on offer for people of all ages to enjoy.”

“I would certainly encourage all local residents with an interest in reading to pop in and take a look; you never know what you might find.”
