Shoalhaven City Arts Centre is inviting artists, art organisations and community cultural groups interested in exhibiting at the Centre in 2016 to submit an ‘expression of interest’ before 30 June 2015.
The Arts Centre has four exhibition spaces available for hire by individual artists and community groups wishing to exhibit their art.
In addition, the Nowra School of Arts is available for special exhibitions for two week periods throughout the year using display boards instead of a wall hanging system.
Council’s Arts and Culture Manager, Bruce Tindale said the Arts Centre was looking forward to receiving Expressions of Interest from a diverse range of artists, community groups and organisations.
Mr Tindale said the Arts Centre was well equipped to exhibit a wide range of art forms including paintings, works on paper, sculpture, textile art, fashion, multimedia, photography and many more.
“The Arts Centre aims to encourage, promote and showcase all levels of artistic ability and cultural diversity through the inclusion of differing exhibitions,” said Mr Tindale.
“The Shoalhaven continues to be home to a vibrant and exciting community of artists and the Shoalhaven City Arts Centre wants to help showcase this through our 2016 program.
“Whether you’re an emerging or a well-established artist I encourage you to consider lodging an Expression of Interest before the end of June.”
Expression of interest forms are available to download at www.shoalhavenartscentre.com.au, via www.shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au or by visiting the Arts Centre at 12 Berry St, Nowra.
