Shoalhaven City Council is reminding
residents that the extended dog off leash winter time trial will continue until
During the trial period dog off leash
access times are in operation from 3pm – 10am daily on selected beaches.
The three beaches selected as part of
the trial are –
Nelsons Beach, Vincentia
As part of the extended winter trial,
Council is calling on the community to have their say about off leash areas
through an online survey form located on Council’s website.
Mayor, Joanna Gash said that while
Council had already received a lot of submissions it was important that all
local residents took the opportunity to make comment throughout the trial
“From all reports, the extended dog
off leash times have been well utilised by local residents during the first
half of the trial period,” said Clr Gash.
“It is extremely important that all local
residents take the opportunity to have their say on the perceived benefits and
drawbacks of the trial period through Council’s online survey form.
“Council is seeking feedback from all
beach users; this is an issue that will affect all local residents not just
those that own a dog.”
Mayor, Gash said that Council chose to
conduct a trial extension of off leash hours at three local beaches during
winter given the area’s beaches are less utilised during this period.
Local residents are invited to complete
the survey on Council’s website while submissions can also be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or posted to -
