Shoalhaven City Libraries will be offering local residents the opportunity to learn about a host of available digital library services at the upcoming Technology Tune-up.

Participating residents will be walked through and provided demonstrations of a host of innovative and exciting digital library services including -

• ZINIO – e-magazines
• Mango – Language databases
• Fiction databases
• Ancestory.com

Mayor, Joanna Gash said Shoalhaven Libraries provided a host of innovative and easy to use digital services designed to enhance the users library experience.

“Changes in technology over the past decade have had a huge effect on our day to day lives,” said Clr Gash.

“Libraries have evolved from a books only facility into an innovative service at the forefront of digital and online communications.

“With Shoalhaven Libraries offering a number of digital services, staff will be providing a free information seminar demonstrating the many advantages of these applications.

“Given the number of different modules available, interested participants are able to learn about everything from e-books to language databases and genealogy tools.”

The Technology Tune-up will take place at the Nowra Library from 10am-12pm on Monday 23 May.

Morning tea will be provided for participants while those in attendance will also have a chance to win a number of prizes.
