Extended dog off leash winter time trial beginning next week

Shoalhaven City Council is reminding residents that the extended dog off leash winter time trial will commence from Thursday 1 May.

During the trial period, which will remain in operation until 30 September, dog off leash access times will be in operation daily from 3pm – 10am on selected beaches.

The three beaches selected as part of the trial are –

  • Culburra Beach

  • Nelsons Beach, Vincentia

  • Huskisson Beach

Mayor, Joanna Gash said Council is calling on the community to have their say during the trial period through an online survey form located on Council’s website.

“Council received strong support through a recent online survey for an increase in off leash times,” said Clr Gash.

“Given that our beaches are less utilised throughout winter, Council will be conducting a trial extension of off leash hours at three local beaches.

“It is extremely important that all local residents take the opportunity to have their say on the perceived benefits and drawbacks of the trial period through Council’s online survey form.”

“Alternatively, local residents are also invited to have their say by emailing or writing to Council directly.”

The Mayor said that submissions can be emailed to council@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au or posted to -
