New Circulation Desk for Nowra Library

Nowra library will have a new streamlined circulation desk installed on Saturday, 10th of May 2014.

The old and much loved circulation desk will be replaced by a smaller and more efficient desk with a modern and attractive design.

In order for the desk to be installed with minimum disruption to the public, the library will close on Friday the 9th of May at 1.00pm and will re-open on Monday the 12th May at 9.30am.

Library Manager Sarah Taylor encourages those who had planned to visit the library that weekend to come in during the week before and stock up for the weekend’s closure.

“We thank the community for their patience whilst the new desk is being installed and apologise to our regular Saturday visitors. Our after hours book chute will be open the entire time, so people can return at any time during the installation, and our digital books, magazines and databases are always available 24/7,” Ms Taylor said.

The current desk is due for a revamp; with the new design more user-friendly and in line with the current service provision in public libraries.

“We are sure that the community will be happy with the new desk design and staff members are excited to see the finished product.” Ms Taylor said.
