Shoalhaven Scores Top Marks in National Report

The 8th Annual National Water Commission benchmarking report on Urban Water Utilities released today, shows that Shoalhaven Water has again performed well on a National basis.


 “The report compares the performance of 81 Water Utilities across Australia with Shoalhaven Water achieving excellent results, particularly in respect of performance measures relating to customer responsiveness” Mayor, Joanna Gash said.  


Clr Gash said that Shoalhaven Water was a standout in regards to customer responsiveness measurements, which reflect how well utilities interact with their customers, when contacted by a customer for whatever purpose. 


 “Shoalhaven Water was one of three non-major water utilities to achieve a 100% result in the percentage of calls answered by an operator within 30 seconds performance indicator” Clr Gash said. 


Measurements for the total Water and Sewerage Complaints and average Duration of an Unplanned Interruptions were also low in comparison to other water utilities given the expanse and diversity of the Shoalhaven Water operations.  


The Mayor said that the benchmarking results which are independently audited also showed that Shoalhaven Water achieved excellent comparative results in the areas of Water Pricing and Operational Efficiency.
