Shoalhaven City Council is advising the community of an overflow of sewage into the the stormwater system at Marriott Park.
The overflow was caused by a blockage in the pipe system upstream of the park.
The blockage has been cleared and Council’s Environmental staff are currently undertaking water quality tests.
Shoalhaven Water staff will be using tankers to pump out the overflow today.
Warning signs have been placed around the pond reminding local residents not to enter the water.
