Council advises of delay to waste services

Shoalhaven City Council is advising residents of delays with some waste collection services as a result of the recent rain.

Council’s collection contractor, SITA Australia has been unable to enter Shoalhaven Heads, Coolangatta, Backforest, Upper Kangaroo River and sections of Bolong Road as part of the regular weekly domestic service.

SITA has informed Council that they will be servicing the landfill bins in the areas where road accesses have re-opened today.

It is anticipated that recycling bins will be serviced in these areas tomorrow.

The expected timetable includes -

Shoalhaven Heads - Landfill bins to be serviced today if resources and access allow it. Recycling bins to be serviced on Friday 28 June.

Bolong Road - Landfill bins to be serviced east of Jennings Lane, Bomaderry upon re-opening of road.

Backforest, Coolangatta - No access to this area at this time. Landfill bins to be serviced at a later date.

Coolangatta Road from Moeyan Road, Coolangatta - Landfill bins to be serviced today. Recycling bins to be serviced Friday 28 June.

Beach Road, Berry and adjacent streets - Landfill bins to be serviced today.

Agars Lane, Berry and adjacent streets - Landfill bins to be serviced today.

Upper Kangaroo Valley and Bamarang - Landfill bins to be serviced today if accessible.

Residents are advised to leave their bins ready for collection if safe to do so.
