History

• 1978, the first court was constructed at Erowal Bay, fully funded by Council with an asphalt base
• 1979, tennis shelter was built fully funded by the Tennis Club and Erowal Bay Community
• 1984, the second tennis court was built and partly funded by the Tennis Club, it has a concrete base 
• 1984, the tennis shelter was extended
• 1990, courts 3 and 4 were constructed, fully funded by the tennis association, and have concrete bases
• 1993, tennis clubhouse was built, funded partially by Council with volunteer labour and donated materials from the local community
• 1996, resurfacing of all 4 courts with synthetic grass
• 2000, courts 5 and 6 were constructed, funded by the tennis club and have concrete bases
• 2011, resurfacing of 3 courts (2, 3 & 4 with synthetic grass) - fully funded by club.
• 2015 - resurfacing of court 1 with synthetic grass and replacement of the fence - fully funded by Council
• 2017 - replacement of the light poles and lighting for courts 1, 2, 3 and 4 - fully funded by Council
• 2017 - car park upgrade including new surface and drainage around the courts - fully funded by Council
