Household Bulky Waste Collection Service

1. Overview

Shoalhaven City Council offers a Bulky Waste Collection Service to all residents for their unwanted bulky household (domestic) items. Residents can book this service by phone.

It is important the collection service is booked before any items are put out onto the kerbside. Also, payment must be made when the collection is booked.

2. What bulky household items does Council collect?

  • Mattresses (mattresses must be wrapped in plastic for Work Health Safety reasons)
  • Old furniture
  • White goods
  • Computers
  • TV's
  • Bikes
  • Wood
  • Toys
  • Garden tools
  • Any general household items

What size must collection items be?

  • Items must be easily and safely carried by two people

 Where to leave items for collection:

  • Leave items just outside your fence or property boundary but not on the footpath or too close to the road

The cost is:

  • $77.00 per cubic metre which is the equivalent of a level 6x4 trailer load
