The Community Grants Program provides multiple funding opportunities throughout the year for community groups and organisations to enable them to design, implement and deliver projects, events and activities that support and enhance the lives of people in the Shoalhaven.
The small grants programs detailed below are available to support collaborative efforts between community groups and organisations that are based in the Shoalhaven Local Government Area to deliver local projects that support the community.
It is Council's priority to work with the community to foster a safe and attractive place for people to live, work, stay and play. The aim is to build inclusive connected communities with arts, culture, and events so that the Shoalhaven can be an active, healthy, liveable place to thrive. Community-led projects are essential to creating this and Council is passionate about supporting innovative community programs that build social equity and address community needs.

This program will provide quick access small grants up to $5,000 and large grants of up to $10,000 to community organisations to support COVID-19 relief and recovery efforts across the Shoalhaven.

The Seniors Festival Grant 2022 provides funding to local community groups and organisations to host events that celebrate and support Seniors in the Shoalhaven.

The NSW Youth Week will be held 4 to 14 April 2022.
The Youth Week Grants 2022 provides funding to local community groups and organisations to host events that celebrate and support young people in the Shoalhaven.
The focus of Youth Week is to provide an opportunity for young people to express their ideas and views, act on issues that affect their lives, and create and enjoy activities and events.

This grant aims to maximise participation, connections, and a sense of belonging for people in the area.
Grants of up to $2,000 are available to community groups and organisations to enable them to undertake projects that support and enhance the lives of people in the Shoalhaven.

This grant is for youth-led and youth-driven community projects that have a positive youth development focus and give young people in the opportunity to develop a range of skills.
Grants need to address young people’s identified needs in an innovative way and increase young people’s connections to the community.

The East Nowra Skills Development Grant provides grants up to $10,000 to support the training and employment of the East Nowra community through the support of the Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group.
Non-Government community organisations and local service providers in the Shoalhaven seeking to offer training and employment opportunities for the East Nowra community are encouraged to apply. Applications need to demonstrate a community need for the program and program sustainability, with a focus on increasing individual and community capacity.

Eligible Category 1 expenditure is for projects and/or services that contribute to the welfare and broader social fabric of the local community through the support of local registered Clubs with Clubs NSW.
To be eligible to apply, you must be a not-for-profit organisation. You are eligible to apply if your organisation is involved in community or professional sport.
