ATTENTION: GARDEN WASTE COLLECTIONS HAVE NOW CEASED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!
Council’s on-call pick up service can be used to dispose of your excess garden waste.
The service is offered for residents across the Shoalhaven.
Valid no-charge household tipping vouchers are accepted as payment of this service at pick up.
Payment must be made at the time of booking or collection.
Types of garden waste collected and presentation:
- Grass clippings and leaves – bagged or boxed
- can weigh up to 16kg per bag/box
- Small prunings – tied in bundles,
- up to 1m in length and 40cm in diameter
- can weigh up to 16kg
Leave your garden waste for collection just outside your fence or property boundary.
Steps to arranging your pick up;
1. Contact or visit the Council Administration offices in Nowra or Ulladulla.
By phone – (02) 4429 5681, email GreenAndBulky@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au or fill in a collection form at the front counter of the Council office in Nowra or Ulladulla Also check with the Council about the types of items that can be put out for collection.
2. Where to leave the material for pickup:
Leave your garden or green waste for collection just outside the fence or boundary but not on the footpath or too close to the road in front of your property.
Paying for your organics waste service
The service costs $28 per 1 cubic metre (the equivalent of a level 6x4 trailer load) payment options include:
Credit card directly at the time of booking (02) 4429 5681
Valid no-charge household tipping voucher, presented at the time of collection.
Cash or Cheque pre-payment at Council Offices at Nowra or Ulladulla.
Check with the Council at the time of booking the service about the methods of payment

** The no charge household tipping vouchers are issued with your rates. Rate payers receive two vouchers per annum. The vouchers are only valid from1 August until 31 July (financial year).
