NSW Health has thanked the community for coming forward in large numbers for COVID-19 testing, with more than 1,000 tests carried out in the first eight hours of expanded clinics in the Shoalhaven. 

Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley said, “While the high rate of COVID testing in the region is pleasing it is vital that the community to continue coming forward to get tested.”  

“NSW Health is continually updating the exposure sites on their website and its’ important that the community regularly check these updates and follow the advice given.”   

“While NSW Health has recently increased testing capacity in the region, you should be prepared for delays. Bring water and snacks while you wait, things for the kids to do in the car if you have young children.” 

“We recommend travelling to the testing clinics by personal car, and if you don’t have a car and to avoid the use of taxis to prevent possible spread of COVID.” 

 NSW are leading the way in managing the pop us sites and is the public health updates, Council is working to support our community any way we can. 

NSW Health is continuing to investigate the movements of these cases in southern New South Wales, and this list of venues may be updated. 

NSW Health has increased testing capacity on the South Coast with a new pop up drive-through in Huskisson, and extended hours at existing clinics. 

Testing locations include:

  • Husky Sports Club pop-up drive-through clinic: Kioloa Street, Huskisson, 8am-6pm, seven days a week 
  • Nowra Southern IML Pathology Drive-through clinic: 57 Junction Street, open 9am-5pm Monday-Friday 
  • Shoalhaven Hospital: entry via Shoalhaven Street driveway 2 Scenic Drive, open 8:30am-12:30pm and 1:15pm-4:30pm Monday - Sunday 
  • Milton Ulladulla Hospital: 106 Princess Highway, enter via Main Hospital Entrance, open 8am-3:30pm Monday - Sunday 
  • Gerringong 4Cyte Pathology Drive-through clinic: Gerringong Medical and Cosmetic Centre, 139 Belinda Street, open 9am-3:30pm Monday-Friday 
  • Husky Sports Club pop-up drive-through clinic: Park Street, Huskisson, 8am-6pm, seven days a week 

Anyone who lives in Jervis Bay, Vincentia, Huskisson, Gundagai or Goulburn, or has visited these areas since 19 May, is asked to be especially vigilant for the onset of even the mildest of cold-like symptoms, and is urged to come forward for testing immediately if they appear, then isolate until a negative result is received. 

Additionally, anyone who has recently had symptoms should also get tested. 

There are more than 300 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest testing clinic, visit the NSW Health website, or contact your GP.
