Battery Installation Discounts for Shoalhaven Residents and Businesses

Residents and business owners in the Shoalhaven may be eligible to receive a discount up to $9,900 on a battery installation as part of NSW Government funded virtual power plant project, which is being rolled out across several NSW areas.

With a residential solar and battery installation, homeowners can expect reductions of up to 80 per cent on electricity bills over a year, depending on available roof space for solar panels and household energy consumption.

In August 2020, the NSW Emerging Energy program awarded a $5.4 million grant to SolarHub for delivering the Smart Distributed Batteries (SDB) project which includes building a six megawatt Virtual Power Plant.

Eligible NSW home and business owners can now receive a point of sale discount if they purchase a battery with SolarHub and join the Virtual Power Plant.
