Shoalhaven NAIDOC Family Fun Day

The Shoalhaven NAIDOC Committee would like to acknowledge the significance of this year’s NAIDOC theme, Get up! Stand up! show up! This theme fosters change and encourages us to advocate for institutional, structural, collaborative and cooperative change all while celebrating our Elders and community members who have already been a champion of these changes and continue to inspire all of us.

The safety of all participants, stall holders and committee members are at the for front of our minds and we are cautious of the weather for the following week.

An official decision has been made by the Shoalhaven NAIDOC Committee and the Auspice Agency Cullunghutti Aboriginal Child and Family Centre to cancel the annual NAIDOC Family Fun Day due to weather. We look forward to celebrating this event during NAIDOC Week 2023.

A number of contributing factors lead to the Shoalhaven NAIDOC Committee making this decision but ensuring the safety of those most vulnerable in our communities was paramount to our decision.

We understand that the Shoalhaven NAIDOC Family Fun Day is a very significant event in our annual calendar, and the decision to postpone was not one made lightly. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our project partners, and supporters of the Shoalhaven NAIDOC Family Fun Day.

We have continued to grow our NAIDOC events in the Shoalhaven every year and look forward to celebrating with you all on Wednesday 5 July 2023.
