NSW Health is leading the response to COVID-19. Council recommends visiting the NSW Health website for daily COVID-19 case numbers. You can also visit the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District website for the latest information on COVID-19 cases in the Shoalhaven.

If you plan to visit our venues you must be familiar with the processes and measures in place and follow COVID safe rules during your visit. These requirements may vary.

Shoalhaven City Council has COVID safety plans in place for its facilities including public venues and holiday parks.
From Monday 11 October 2021 the Customer Service Counter at Nowra Administration Office will re-open to the public with normal operating hours. From Monday 25 October 2021 the Customer Service Counter at Ulladulla Administration Centre will re-open to the public with normal operating hours. Thanks in advance for understanding not all services are available in person as we begin to transition our workforce back to working in the office. Please call Customer Service on 1300 293 111 if there is a staff member you would like to talk to in person, they will be able to advise on how to contact Council staff whether it’s online or in person.
Customer service interactions are encouraged to be conducted online and over the phone. Call to speak with a helpful staff member or use the convenient web chat function on our website.
All Recycling and Waste Depots are fully operational and open at normal opening hours. Unexpected staff shortages at our Recycling and Waste Depots may result in some services to close without notice for a short period of time.
Green and Bulky Collection service is taking bookings.

From Monday 11 October 2021 all Holiday Haven Parks will re-open to the general public who are permitted to travel. Please visit the Holiday Haven website for current restrictions.

Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre is scheduled to undergo upgrades in early 2022 and is currently closed.

Outdoor sea pools are open. All Shoalhaven Swim Sport Fitness Centres’ will re-open to varied operation hours, including indoor and outdoor pools and gyms. Learn to swim and squad programs will commence from Monday 25 October. For further information please refer to the Shoalhaven Swim Sport Fitness website for detailed information on changes to operations.

From Monday 11 October, the Shoalhaven Regional Art Gallery will re-open to normal operating hours for those who are fully vaccinated against COVID.
From Monday 11 October 2021, the Nowra, Sanctuary Point and Ulladulla Libraries will re-open to reduced operating hours for those who are fully vaccinated against COVID.

All Cemeteries and the Shoalhaven Bereavement Services office are open with restrictions in place.
From Monday 11 October 2021 operations will continue under the new NSW Health Order limits allowing 100 people fully vaccinated against COVID to attend funerals with distancing requirements limiting seating to 28 inside Chapel and remainder seated undercover outdoors with audio visual facilities. 10 people plus those needed to arrange and conduct the funeral may attend a funeral service if any member of the group is not fully vaccinated against COVID.
Our Reflections Function Centre will re-open to those who are fully vaccinated against COVID with distancing requirements limiting seating inside the Centre to 30 with 16 undercover outside and up to 8 outdoors weather permitting.

The Ulladulla Civic Centre is now open, including the Library, Visitor Information Services and function centre. The cafe reopened for seated service in line with current COVID restrictions.
The Ulladulla Recovery Centre transitioned to a telephone service, you can call Council’s dedicated recovery helpline on (02) 4429 5888 Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm.
From Thursday 28 October 2021, the Shoalhaven Recovery HUB at the Ulladulla Civic Centre will re-open from 10.30am. The Hub will resume normal operating hours of Thursday and Friday from 10.30am to 4.00pm. Activities will be reintroduced as COVID restrictions continue to ease.
From Monday 11 October 2021 the Visitor Information Centre located in the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre will re-open to normal operating hours for those fully vaccinated against COVID. You can also contact the team on (02) 4421 0778 or email tourism@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au. Visitor information is also available online.
From Monday 25 October 2021 council owned community and public halls will be available for bookings. This includes buildings at showgrounds, sporting facilities, meeting rooms, public halls, community centres and Schools of Art. The Hirer is responsible for ensuring the booking and activity complies with the restrictions under the NSW Health Public Health Order and a COVID safe plan will need to be provided as part of the booking.

Council meetings will be closed to the public. Members of the public are encouraged to watch these meetings on our live stream.

Customers may speak to a Duty Planner or Building Officer between 09:00 AM–11:00 AM Monday to Friday via the phone or virtual meetings. Meetings are also available by phone appointment and email.
